The teams are photographed prior to start of play at the Newcastle National Park courts.

Weather has turned and today is clear and sunny with 17-19c anticipated and no wind, however it does feel hotter than the anticipated forecast already.

Today Day 2 of competition has been put into disarray due to heavy overnight rain and ongoing rain

Announcement has been made that  games today will be 1 match (2 games 75 minutes each for each doubles pairing) and the singles will be 2 (75 minute games) to complete a match and only 1 singles match 1v1, 2v2,3v3, 4v4 will be played today.

Australian Championships Golf Croquet Interstate Shield 2025 - day 1

There has been a significant weather change in the Hunter Valley overnight with quite a bit of rain overnight and expected to continue throughout the next 2 days.

Currently you can see players warming up and officials setting themselves for a days play in the constant and moderately heavy rain.

Unfortunately courts are already very wet from the past few weeks of rain in this area but the courts  are on a sandy base so hopefully drain well.
