VICTORIAN MEN’S AND WOMEN’S GOLF OPEN SINGLES TOURNAMENT
This event was held at Cairnlea over the weekend of the 2nd & 3rd of August.
11 Women and 24 men competed in the 2 events in very pleasant weather- brisk mornings with clear sunny days and no wind.
Croquet Victoria Season Opening Wednesday 30 July 2025 
Thank you to the fifty players who attended today at the Victorian Croquet Centre and enjoyed participating in games with players from different regions. Particular thanks to Geelong- (Drysdale, Queenscliff, Eastern Park) Ringwood and Ballarat who all had multiple members in attendance. Many other clubs were represented and it was lovely to see some new faces.
Croquet Victoria was honored to have Brian Reither from Ballarat Alexandra Club run the first hoop of the season.

Croquet Victoria has just learnt of the death of Tony Hall OBE, past President of the World Croquet Federation and Treasurer and Senior Vice President of Croquet Australia.
Stephen Mulliner (past Secretary General of the World Croquet Federation) writes:
Tony was one of croquet's great characters. He was a keen sports player all his life and played hockey for Australian Army teams into his 70s. He was also involved in squash and swimming administration.

On Monday 14 July, fourteen Association Croquet players gathered at the Brunswick club to find out from Kenn Boal, Croquet Victoria's newly appointed Coordinator AC Refereeing .

Sarina has contributed to the development, cohesion and effectiveness of Croquet Victoria, as a member of Council for ten years, and as Secretary over seven of those years. Her attention to detail and her record keeping have been exemplary and in due course will be an enormous help to her successor.
