The Victorian Croquet Open Doubles 2026 Tournament was held on 21st and 22nd January
17 pairs battled their way through the block rounds on Day 1. The players were seeded into 3 blocks with the top 2 from each block going though to the 6 team round robin on Day 2.
The block competition was extremely tight with only net hoops allowing the eventual winners into the final day Round Robin. It was wonderful to see new teams competing this year and doing so well. Thanks to Ian Potter & Alister McDougal who travelled from Boort, Judy Wembridge & Peter Hodder from Bairnsdale, Peter Binks & Anthony Smith from Geelong/ Colac, Mary Cockett & Jenifer Rechter from Geelong/ WA, Graham Smith & Steve Duffy from Castlemaine. Also interstate teams Brett and Janine McHardy WA and Claire Warriner & Graham McLean from Qld.
Eventual winners were Felix Gelman White (Williamstown) and Julie Beasley (Warragul)
