Victorian Association Croquet Divisional Championships

The Victorian Association Croquet Divisional Championships were run over the weekend of 8-9 November.
The top section was the Tregellas Medal where players were in the handicap range of 6-10. This event was first played in 1941 and was won this year by Damien Hadfield (Kyneton) who didn't lose a game. Runner up was Andrew Moulton (Kew) who only had one loss.

The handicap singles event saw new faces at VCC- 2 Divisions were played
Winner of Division 1 ( -9 handicap) was Gary Dykes ( Maldon), runner up Jan Proudley (Sandringham)
Winner of Division 2 ( 10-14 handicap) was Janelle Morris (Belmont), runner up Joy Mitchell (Kew) by 1 hoop showing how close competition was throughout the weekend.

Jim Clement: thanks and best wishes
Jim Clement Retires From National Roles
Jim Clement, past president of Croquet Victoria, has resigned from all roles with Croquet Australia for health reasons.
Jim was essentially a golf croquet player, trying association croquet in recent years. However, it has been his contribution to supporting the sport where he excelled.

Australia's Robert Fletcher will play England's Mark Avery in a Semi Final of the World Association Championships at Florida in the U.S.A.
