Kew AC Tournament 2025

Prior to 2020, Kew and Ringwood Croquet Clubs each held AC tournaments for a full handicap ranges over 2 weekends.  In 2024, due to a shortage of officials, the clubs conducted a joint tournament split between the clubs.  This is occurring again in 2025.

On 3rd to 4th April, the higher handicap ranges competed at Kew in good weather, with players from Brunswick, MCC, Ringwood, Monash, Elsternwick, Kew and Phillip Island.

Division 3 (handicaps 12-16) had four players, who completed a double round robin, with winner Mark Wilson (Brunswick) and runner-up Ralph Leditschke (Phillip Island).

Division 4 (handicaps 18-20) had eight players, who played in two blocks followed by a knockout of 4 players.  The winner was Cory Smith (a new player from Elsternwick) with runner-up Pauleen Leditschke (Phillip Island).

Overall, a very good atmosphere, with great assistance from Andrew Moulton (as hoop setter and excellent caterer), Fiona McLaren and referee assistance from Chris Grant (Ringwood) and Brian Foley (Sandringham).

I am looking forward to the lower handicap event at Ringwood next weekend
