Brighton AC Tournament 2026
We had 11 Div 3 entrants but unfortunately only 4 Div 4 players on the first weekend of our tournament.
Amongst the gathering were players from Phillip Island, Leongatha, MCC, Kew, Elsternwick and Deniliquin which was great to see. We all share a passion!
Div 4 was won by Jim Love (no relation) from MCC. He only lost one game.
Div 3 was divided into 2 blocs, the winner from each played in the final. It was a very exciting affair. Fred Littmann in his final turn ran red ball from hoop 3Back to peg and had to peg out to equalise.
Greg Moran did not improve his score in his last turn, and a golden hoop followed, but with only one ball left Fred's long shot missed. Greg hooped and the game was over!
Division 1 and 2 played the following weekend. Peter and Cherol Filbee from New Zealand entered, achieving that perfect holiday combo of family and Croquet Tournament.
Division 2 was won by Wayne Lewis from MCC on net hoops from Andrew Moulton, and Division 1 was won by our Simon Watkins who won all his games.
A very big thank you to all the helpers that made the tournament run so well!
