Today is the start of the finals for the Australian Women’s and Men’s singles at Cairnlea. The finals will finish tomorrow afternoon and be followed by 5 days of the Interstate Shield. The Plate play-offs are being held today at the satellite venues of Essendon, Brunswick and Williamstown clubs.
The standard of play is extremely high and games continue to be exciting to watch – keep an eye on Croquet Scores to follow those results.
A special mention about 2 players in the final round of 16 players. Photos provided are highlighting the extensive age range croquet caters too. John Colquhoun from Tasmania at 81 years of age was a final 16 place getter in the Australia Men's Singles event. John played one of our current youngest players Felix Gelman White who has been an under 21 champion in Victoria.
