Description of Background/Expertise
Have played a variety of sports competitively since 1967 - athletics, tennis, football, basketball, volleyball, mixed netball, golf, indoor bias bowls, and now golf croquet.
Have been heavily involved on the administration side of things (Treasurer, Secretary) at tennis, golf and indoor bias bowls.
Interest and Involvement in the Sport
Showed a slight interest in playing croquet around 2018 - very occasional hit, still playing competitive tennis during the Summer.
Met my new wife (Denise) in 2021 (married in 2022) and introduced her to the game of croquet - she enjoyed it and started playing regularly whilst I still played tennis and golf.
Shoulder injuries forced me into taking on the game seriously mid-2024 ...... am absolutely besotted with it!!
