A Fresh Look at a Timeless Sport
Croquet may date back to the 14th century, but its appeal is more alive than ever. The World Croquet Federation (WCF) – the global voice of the sport – established World Croquet Day in 1985 to unite players and communities around the world. Today, it’s a vibrant celebration of skill, strategy and connection.
Croquet Victoria proudly champions this annual event, encouraging Victorians of all ages to discover (or rediscover) the joy of the game.
Give Croquet a Go
Croquet is a low‑impact, highly inclusive sport where everyone can get involved. It was one of the first sports in which men and women competed together — even making an appearance at the 1900 Paris Olympics.
This year, step onto the lawn and be part of a tradition that has endured for centuries. Whether you’re chasing friendly competition, a new social hobby or simply a fun day out, croquet offers something for everyone. Grab your weatherproof gear, lace up your flat‑soled shoes and get ready to swing into action.
