The past 3 days saw the 2026 GC Bronze Medal decided at VCC.
8 players from various regions of Victoria played in a best of 3 Round Robin event.
The winner will represent Victoria in September at Croquet Australia's Gold Medal Championship over 3 days.
This year the event will be held in Victoria so we invite any interested parties to consider attending VCC to watch the 6 Australian State Champions play off in this event from 2nd to 4th September 2026.
This year's Bronze Medal winner was Phill Shattock from Ringwood, runner up was Andy Barbero from Wangaratta.
We wish Phill the best of luck in the Gold Medal event this September 2nd - 4th.
The 2026 March Selectors Invitation was played on Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd.
Again players from many regions were represented - 12 players in total played off in a round robin event.
Winner this year was Chelsea Williams from Queenscliff who went through all games undefeated- Well done and big congratulations on the remarkable effort.
Runner up was Jeff Gork from Ballarat Western.
Thank you especially to the Gippsland, Warrnambool and Ararat players who travelled many hours to compete in this event along with those metropolitan players who travelled 1- 2 hours to compete.
This commitment to Vic Croquet and competitions allows Victoria to continue to showcase talent from around the state and remain highly competitive at an interstate level.
Thanks also to Felix Gelman White who did not compete in the Bronze Medal play off, but assisted admirably in running the 2 successful and closely challenged tournaments over the weekend.
