VALE Iris Williams and Kevin Geyer
Horsham Croquet Club has sadly lost 2 life members during September. Iris Williams and Kevin Geyer, they had both been Life Members for 16 years. Iris had been a club member for 41years and Kevin for 34 years.
Iris Williams passed away on the 2nd September 2025 aged 89 and Kevin Geyer on the 22nd, September 2025 aged 94.
They both had cheeky cheerful personalities and a great love for the game of croquet.
Between them they gave up a tremendous number of hours working for the benefit of our club.
Iris will be particularly remembered for organising “bingo” which put the club in a good financial position over a period of 12 years. It was Iris who also introduced and taught members the game of golf croquet which is played today by our 50 members.
Kevin will be mainly remembered for the tremendous effort he put into looking after our lawns for many years.
The Horsham Croquet Club is deeply saddened by the loss of such stalwarts of the game, and club, may they rest in peace.
