The Victorian Association Croquet Women's and Men's Championships

The Victorian Association Croquet Women's and Men's Championships were run over the weekend.

Kerri-Ann Organ (Kyabram) won all five of her games to win the Women's Championship for the second year in a row.  Runner up was Elaine Coverdale (Essendon) on 3 wins from Tricia Devlin (Castlemaine) and Lois Kirk (Quarry Hill), also on three wins.

The Men's Championship was won by Stephen Forster (Belmont) who defeated Greg Hill (MCC) in the final 26-9.  Next was Trevor Bassett (Cooks River, NSW) who defeated Lachlan Berryman (MCC) 26-10 in the playoff for third place.

Felix Gelman White (Williamstown) showed rapid improvement in his game and his handicap was brought down from 9 to 6 at the conclusion of the event.  Congratulations Felix, and good luck in the future.

The tournament was managed by Lachlan Berryman with referees Brian Foley and Mike Cohn.
