Interstate Shield Golf Croquet - Day 4

Interstate Shield Golf Croquet - Day 4

Today we have returned to the picturesque National Parks Courts to play the Test match against NSW.

The weather is clear and sunny anticipated to be 20 degrees.

Yesterday was a sterling effort by the team to equal WA in games and matches  but unfortunately losing in total by 7 hoops.

All tests played yesterday between states were very tight and used a restricted play format. This was due to  some planned venues being unplayable because of heavy rain over the previous days and weeks here in Newcastle.

Today games should be ultra competitive. A full test is planned as all 3 venues today have dried, and surfaces are playable.

This means, each named doubles pair will play a best of 2 round followed by each player competing in 2 best of 2 rounds against 2 opponents.

Games will be timed at 1.40 and 1 hour. Cumulative time from game 1 (if any) will be added  to the 1 hour allocated to the second game.

Tomorrow will see the final test match against South Australia followed by the ISS dinner and formal handover of the event for next year to Victoria. The venue tomorrow is still to be confirmed once courts are reviewed at midday today.

Goodluck to all players  - make Vic proud
