Interstate Shield Golf Croquet - Day 3
Victoria are playing the Western Australia team which has the 2 gold medal finalists so it will be a very tough day.
The teams are photographed prior to start of play at the Newcastle National Park courts.
Weather has turned and today is clear and sunny with 17-19c anticipated and no wind, however it does feel hotter than the anticipated forecast already.
Yesterday rains forced some play to stop at Maitland and 4 players travelled back to Lake Macquarie (Toronto club courts) to complete the days play against QLD. 2 Maitland courts remained unplayable due to rain with the 2 courts used being exceptionally wet. Maitland courts will be rested today. The remaining unplayed games between NSW and QLD were also completed at the Lake Macquarie courts last night at the end of the days play.
Today in view of court conditions play the format will be as yesterday with the doubles matches a best of 2 and only 1 best of 2 singles which again will be 1v1, 2v2 etc.
Timing today will revert to the normal ISS timing of games.
Tomorrow Victoria will be back at the same courts playing NSW with Sunday being Vic versus SA at Maitland.
Go Vic!!
