Interstate Shield - Golf Croquet - Day 2

Today Day 2 of competition has been put into disarray due to heavy overnight rain and ongoing rain

expected today.

Victoria are at Maitland playing Qld  and games have been called to a halt after and early start to try and beat heavier expected rain. Officials are currently discussing what the options may be. Courts are heavily soaked with rain.

Announcement has been made that  games today will be 1 match (2 games 75 minutes each for each doubles pairing) and the singles will be 2 (75 minute games) to complete a match and only 1 singles match 1v1, 2v2,3v3, 4v4 will be played today.

The remaining games unfinished from yesterday between QLD and NSW  are being scheduled hopefully for another time. Confirmation of plan still to be published.

EDSACC games  have been cancelled currently and management are looking into options for both those teams. NSW and SA

Toronto courts are televising WA v Tas game which is about 40 mins away from us.

Qld and Vic players are keen to get on with the competition and do the best we can under exceptional circumstances. Super Soppers are  currently in use.

As you can see if nothing else mascots Victor and Quin  are remaining upbeat and cosy in 13C heat.

Go Vic.
