Our Club

Williamstown Croquet Club was founded in 1926 and opened for play in 1928.

The beautiful, historic pavilion was opened in 1929 and is a real feature of the club. The wide verandah is ideal for enjoying those long summer evenings. Inside is a large air-conditioned clubroom, fully equipped kitchen, locker room and separate male and female toilets.

We welcome all visitors and people wishing to pursue croquet as a sport or social activity and cater for all levels. Both Association Croquet and Golf Croquet are played at our club.

As well as regular club activities, the pavilion is available for hire for social events and meetings when not in use by members. We can also provide croquet coaching for your event. If you would like to make a booking enquiry click HERE.

We have enough space for two full-size or four half-size lawns which can accommodate up to 32 players at a time. We also have mallets available for the use of new members, visitors and guests.

New Members

You can become an Introductory Member for $50 which entitles you to 5 weeks of membership plus free coaching to get you started. This will give you time to get a feel for the games plus get to know the club and its members.

If you decide to continue as a Full Member, you will get a $50 discount on the annual membership fee. As a Full Member, you are free to use the facilities anytime they are available as well as participate in regular croquet sessions during the week. Our more experienced players are always willing to spend time teaching newer players how to improve their game.

Why not head on down to Williamstown and give it a try? To enquire about membership contact the Secretary.

Latest News

Congratulations and welcome back to Colin Clark. Colin recently was invited to and won the Victorian Bronze Shield (AC) held at Cairnlea. Colin is pictured below with Kerry-Ann Organ who won the Silver Shield which ran concurrently. Colin has had a long haitus from croquet due to building a house and working overseas. John Grieve finished third in the same competition.

Also in recent AC news congratulations to Paul Lund who finished as runner-up in the Brunswick Electric Light Tournament Div 2.
