The Clubhouse was built in 1934 and as far as we can determine, was designed by Eric Nicholls, manager of the Melbourne Office and business partner of renowned Architect, Walter Burley Griffen. A new kitchen was installed at the end of 2007, a very big improvement on the original 1930s design.

We received a Commonwealth Community Water Grant in January 2008 for a Storm-water Harvesting Project. Stormwater from the main car park is pumped into two 30 000 litre tanks to supply the lawn irrigation as required. Signifcant work on the clubhouse was organised by Boroondara Council in January /March 2010 as part of that Council's program of maintaining the longer term integrity of Council's total building infrastructure. We were very fortunate to be included in the 2009/2010 program. We now have the new ramp down to the lower court, new floor coverings and numerous other improvements to the beautiful old clubhouse building.
