There is also gateball practice at Brunswick, usually on the first Sunday of the month, from 1 to 3 pm.
Other weeks, gateball practice is from 1 pm to 3 pm at either Kew or Essendon Croquet Clubs.
Contact Philip Brown ( for details of sessions and venues.

We charge a green fee of $5 a day - for local residents, though, your first session is free.
At our 2019 Annual General Meeting we decided not to charge members a green fee, however we are charging players a $2 Lights fee if they play after dark (except on Monday).
If you are playing gateball you will need to check with Essendon and Kew for their green fees.

We run regular GC beginners course in conjunction with U3A Moreland. If you'd like to join a course, do get in touch via our email,
AC beginners coaching is available every Monday evening from 5 pm. Book with Kate via email if you'd like to come -

Jenny and Chris Clarke, of NZ, are constantly extending a wonderful resource for GC and AC croquet players. See

August update

Use of the lawns is no longer permitted. We very much look forward to seeing you back once Stage 4 restrictions are lifted.

Croquet in the Coronavirus era!

Brunswick MSC encourages members to learn different versions of the game: golf, association, and gateball. Gateball is a fast moving team game, golf croquet is sociable, association combines billiards and chess on grass (if you like pool, you'll really take to association croquet).

Like to give croquet a go?

Do drop by! We're a friendly lot and we're keen to encourage new members. Check out our YouTube clip! made by Angelo Butera...
Members pay a club membership sub plus dues for affiliation with the Australian and Victorian Croquet Associations (covers insurance) - not required if you already pay this via another club.
You can join online via our SurveyMonkey form, or come along to the club when we reopen, and sign up.

We have a Facebook group where you can check out current news...

Looking for competition, or a social game?

Brunswick includes members who enjoy competing in tournaments and competitions while others come along for a social game and don't want to enter competitions. Our aim is for us all to value and support each other. Seems to be working well.

We celebrate success. We also enjoy ourselves, as at our inaugural Annual Dinner, where John van der Touw spoke on his croquet career. See the pics on our Facebook page

Available for functions and corporate events

No bookings for the immediate future, but our clubhouse is generally available for the local community to have events, and for corporate events, such as group building, and end of year parties. Competitive rates for groups of 20 to 50 people. Phone or email Ines Cervi at 0412 802 035 or at for more information or to check availability.
You can also complete our booking form online.

Nelson Alexander is offering the club $ for real estate referrals. If you are selling a house, you might consult them? Use this form.
