2024-04-28 Liaison with Access All AbilitiesAccess for All Abilities (AAA Play) provides Australia’s only dedicated referral and connection service for people with a disability to sports and recreational opportunities in Victoria. Croquet Victoria has hooked up with AAA, and we are arranging to post information about croquet opportunities on their website - see https://www.aaaplay.org.au/ First club to advertise with AAA is RnB, which has an open access policy - including play for people with walkers or using wheelchairs. Other clubs who would like their availability advertised via the AAA website please contact the Croquet Victoria Secretary. 2024-04-23 The Regional Golf Championship Tournament 2024The Regional Golf Championship Tournament was held at VCC on the weekend of 19th to 21St April 13 Regions were represented in all 3 divisions and a great weekend was had by all.

We have a high class field of players with the 3 Fletcher brothers ,2 USA players who are highly world ranked and many highly ranked interstate and Victorian players.
Finals will commence this afternoon - Monday with Tuesday the 7th having Semifinal best of 3 and Final Best of 3 games. The Australian ACA Open Singles competition will commence on Wednesday and conclude with a best of 5 final on Sunday. For any interested spectators please feel free to attend- you will not be disappointed. Croquetscores will have ongoing updates of the competitions
2024-05-07 Australian Doubles Championships continuedThis morning we have Malcolm and Greg Fletcher playing the USA team of Steve Morgan and Thomas Balding. Robert Fletcher and Pete Landrebe playing Owen Dickinson and Gary Phipps. These will be a Best of 3 semi and final. In the Y final we have Lindsay Patello and Helen Gammon playing Andy Barbero and Richard Hingst. This will be for 5&6 place. 2024-05-10 AC Tournament Play Returns to Ringwood and KewFor many years, both Ringwood and Kew Croquet Clubs held annual open Association Croquet tournaments. However, since 2019, circumstances (Covid, reduced number of knowledgeable officials, and court conditions) have resulted in an absence. This year, the two clubs decided to hold a split tournament between the clubs, helping each other in the tasks. Ringwood started by hosting players in the handicap ranges -3 to 11 on 13 and 14 April in delightful conditions. |
