Laws of Association Croquet update
The Croquet Australia Secretary has provided the following information for state associations - see the News page on the Croquet Australia website.
The WCF Council approved the 7th Edition of the Association Croquet Laws on 24 February 2021. It has been decided that the new Laws will apply in Australia from 1 July 2021.
Law books in A5 and A6 format are at the printers. A new version of the Official Rulings on the Laws of Association Croquet (ORLAC) is near finalisation. Croquet Australia intends to print a merged version of the Laws and ORLAC when available (which should be soon).
COVID: restrictions ease further
Croquet Victoria has updated its Return to Croquet guidelines to take account of the revised restrictions from midnight on Friday 26 February.
You still need to carry a mask, but masks are no longer mandatory in clubhouses - unless you are going to be closer to someone than 1.5m.
Next review of the restrictions is due on 15 March.

“Not the Eire Cup” - an event at Cairnlea with Alternate Stroke Doubles
A new event called “Not the Eire Cup” was held at the Victorian Croquet Centre 12-14 March 2021. The idea for the event arose because the real Eire Cup to be held in Sydney at this time was cancelled due to the risk of border closures resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Not the Eire Cup” was contested between teams of 2 players with a state team/squad player paired with a player with a handicap up to 10. Matches consisted of a Doubles game and Singles games between the low handicap players and between the high handicap players.
