Cup Day For Cancer Centre

Croquet players from clubs across Gippsland travelled to Morwell Croquet Club to take part in their annual Melbourne Cup Day fundraiser. It was especially great to welcome Jan and Mavis who had made the long drive down from Orbost.

Fun, food and croquet was the order of the day.

Pairs took to the court for some light hearted games with partners changing for each new round.

Many dressed up for the occasion sporting a variety of hats and fascinators.

Anne Howard from Maffra won the “Best Hat” with her amazing Hot Air Balloon creation and Les Dosser from Maffra who was dressed as a jockey took out the prize for the males.

The big winner on the day was the Gippsland Cancer Care Centre who will be the recipient of all monies raised.
