Croquet for Cancer

Sue Elliott and George Harris, of Morwell Croquet Club, were pleased to be able to present a cheque for $500 to Megan Hecker at the Gippsland Cancer Care Centre recently. Megan is the Nurse Unit Manager of the Chemotherapy Unit.

This cheque, along with one for $550 donated in March, was the proceeds from last year’s Melbourne Cup Day, donations from Latrobe City Council staff during their eight week inter-office challenge and Latrobe City Council for hosting their staff.

Morwell Croquet Club has been supporting the Cancer Centre for a number of years now and it was interesting to learn that the total amount donated has now reached over $7,500.

A huge thank you to all those who have helped us to achieve this.

Without their continued support, this would not have been possible.
