Horsham CC Closing Day celebrations

Saturday 18 May we had President's Day, closing day and presentation of our Singles and Doubles Champions.

A beautiful sunny day was enjoyed by 31 players,we played three games and enjoyed finger food for lunch and a yummy afternoon tea before the presentations.



Hail the Champion - Alison Sharpe

In a most entertaining, close and enthralling contest Alison Sharpe defended her title to win the 2019 Australian Golf Croquet Championship.  

Alison beat Kevin Beard in a contest that took over five hours to get a result.

2019/2020 fixtures calendar

The tournament listings for the 2019/2020 season are now available.

Tournament notices can now be uploaded from your club page.

Fixtures calendar leaflets are going to be printed on May 24. If the details shown for your club or region tournament are incorrect, please let John Grieve know by May 23.

The tournaments will appear on club and region pages next week.  Once this happens you will be able to upload tournament notices.

Wow of a Metro Shield GC handicap final

The Melbourne autumn weather was brilliant again today for the Metro Shield Handicap Final.

Well, the weather was fine but there was an 8 car pile-up on the Western Ring Road and the Essendon team we held up for 45 minutes and only just scraped in to start on time. Nerve racking way to start a final.



Impressive play at Rich River Anzac Classic

Spectators were treated to some excellent association croquet by some very talented players during the annual Rich River Anzac Classic on 4 to 7 May.

Sixteen top players with handicaps from -2 to 2.5 played in Division 1 on the first two days.  They had come from NSW and Victoria, with one player from Ireland.
