Interest and Involvement in the Sport
|
I started playing croquet at Brighton CC, Melbourne, in 1994. In 1996 I started on my international business career with Telstra Indonesia, based in Jakarta and Semarang in Java (no croquet). In 2000 I resigned from Telstra to become founding CEO at Australia Japan Cable, based in Bermuda, where I was a member of the Croquet Club of Bermuda playing USCA rules. We established a family home base in Adelaide, where I joined South Terrace CC and played intermittently. Then followed stints in Solomon Islands and Palau, where there was no croquet. Now I am back living in Australia and have resumed palying association croquet regularly at my original club, Brighton. I have been delighted with croquet since my first encounter with what I think may be the best kept secret in sport, and I want to contribute what I can to its ongoing success.
