Professional life in Education: Teaching in Government Primary and Secondary schools; management positions in the Education Department; Deputy Director of Australian Research Institute at RMIT: Professor of Education at the then Ballarat University. Literacy Consultancies in USA, Ireland, Ukraine and Aboriginal Education in Tasmania. Victorian State president of the Australian Literacy Educators Association.
Majors in Physical Education and English so was very involved in Sport education in early years teaching esp. netball, softball and swimming. I played netball and softball and then competition tennis until I was 40. It was when I retired that I looked for a sport and decided to take up croquet. In the 12 or so years since I have held Club and District positions plus enjoyed travelling both to Cairnlea and around the State to competitions. I made it to a 6 Handicap in my best years! I am an addict to the game.
