AC Metro Pennant Autumn results
This season there were only two sections in the AC Metro Pennant, with fewer AC players being available to participate.
For those who did play, there was healthy competition and in the low-handicap section a nail biting result.
Handicap Range 0-14
The result was not decided until the final round, with MCC2 pipping MCC3 for the flag. MCC2 was represented by Gavan Woinarski, Bruce McComb and Maureen Edwards.
It was an interesting season, given the wide range of handicaps and the fact that bisques were applicable.
Thank you to the other teams: MCC1, Sandringham and Williamstown.
Handicap Range 16-20
In this range the result was clear with some weeks to go.
Well done to Kew/Brunswick, who went through the season undefeated.
Elsternwick withstood a late challenge from Ringwood to be Runner-Up.
Thank you to the other teams: Essendon, MCC4 and MCC5.

Congratulations to Kevin Beard, who has just won three Queensland titles: the AC singles and the AC men's singles, along with the GC doubles - the doubles in partnership with John Levick of Newcastle (NSW).
Changes on VCA Council
Croquet Victoria has a new Treasurer.
The 2017/18 Annual General Meeting of Croquet Victoria elected Jim Saunders OAM as Treasurer, succeeding Brian Rowe, who has retired from the position.
Jim's background is in dairy farming, farm politics and agricultural education. Since retiring he has been heavily involved in Golf Croquet, competing locally, nationally and overseas, and he has contributed significantly to croquet administration in Victoria.
